Can’t find what you’re looking for?

We sell for lots of big shows and sports events where demand for tickets is extremely high. Getting tickets isn't all down to luck though – there are a few things you can do to give yourself a better chance...

Create a Ticketmaster account in advance

If you don't already have an account with us, create a brand new online account before the tickets go on sale. This will allow you to store your address and credit card details, so you don't have to rush to type them all in when you're trying to book.

Check your passwords and billing details

If you already have an online account, check that you know your password and all your details are up to date before tickets go on sale. If you've forgotten your password, don't worry, there's an option to have a new one emailed to you. Please also make sure your address is correct if you’ve moved house recently. If you're signed up to Verified by Visa or MasterCard Secure Code, make sure that you know your password before tickets go on sale.

Never load our site in more than one browser window

Only have our site loaded in one window in your web browser – things can get extremely messy otherwise, and you might end up losing tickets you're holding as our website will only allow you to make one booking at a time.

Make sure that you’re using a steady internet connection

If you lose your internet connection during booking for even a second, if you’re part way through a booking you may have to start over and search for tickets again, so it’s best to make sure that you’re using a reliable connection. If you’re using a mobile, you may want to try using Wi-Fi rather than 3G/4G, just in case you lose signal.

Avoid camping on the event page before tickets are released

If you sit on the event page waiting for the timer to count down to zero before an event goes on sale, it means that the page will then need to refresh when tickets are released so that it can update for you to begin your search, which might slow you down. Waiting on the page before tickets are released doesn’t put you into a queue, so there’s not really any need to do this!

Don't refresh your screen

Stick to one window when you’re being pushed through the virtual queue and always resist the urge to refresh. Hitting the refresh button means you’ll lose your place in the queue and, as frustrating as it can get, patience is the only way to win this game.

Ticketmaster is equipped with sophisticated systems that are designed to manage and process ticket purchases as quickly as possible. The queuing system that appears on your screen is actually doing something and will place you at the front of the line as soon as possible.

Other than that, just be sure to be on our website bright and early for when the tickets are released, and we wish you the best of luck!

For events where Live Nation are the organisers, an exclusive presale is available for customers who are registered members on their site. The presale allows members before they go on general sale to everyone and is available online only.

To gain access to the presale, you need to register on Live Nation and then log on at the time of the presale. The option to buy tickets will then become available to you.

Presale tickets are the same as those available in the general sale, they are just available earlier while few customers are trying to book. There is usually a limited number of presale tickets to make sure enough tickets are available for the general sale.

Your registration will only work on LiveNation.co.uk and will then link you to a hidden secure page on our site to complete your booking. You can create a Ticketmaster account by clicking here or during the booking process.

Click here for more information on how to make the booking process as quick as possible.

The ticket limits are set by the event organisers and can’t be broken.  If the number of people in your party exceeds the ticket limit, another member of the group would need to book with a card that’s registered to a different name and address. Any orders made on the same card with the same name and address may be cancelled without notice.

If your party is making multiple bookings, unfortunately we’re unable to guarantee that all the seats will be together – especially for big events where tickets are likely to sell very quickly.

Quick Help Guide

Q: What is Ticketmaster Verified Fan?

A: We're committed to getting tickets in the hands of fans. Not touts or bots. So we've partnered with artists to create a way for real fans to get exclusive ticket access to see their favourite shows: Ticketmaster Verified Fan Presales. Visit http://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/verified-fan for full details.

Q: How do I purchase tickets with Ticketmaster Verified Fan Presales?

A: When the presale begins, it is a simple, standard purchase process and the following steps will help you navigate the process.

1. You’ll receive your unique code between 12 and 24 hours before the presale, either by e-mail or SMS (you’ll be told which when you register). This will include presale times, your unique code and a link to where you can purchase your tickets.

If you’re due to receive the link by SMS, keep your phone handy – if you are successful, you’ll receive your code with all the information you’ll need to access the presale.

2. Copy Your Unique Code

Have your code on hand and be ready to copy and paste for when the presale begins.

3. Click the link you were sent at the time specified

If you are on a desktop device, but receive the link by SMS, transfer the link from your phone ahead of time. Be quick as there's a limited number of tickets available to Verified Fans.

4. On the ticket selection page, choose “Verified Fan Presale' or 'Fan Presale'. Enter your unique code in the box provided.

Make sure you enter the code exactly as it appears in the e-mail or SMS you receive from Ticketmaster.

5. Find tickets.

Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis and are NOT guaranteed. Do not exceed the stated ticket limit.

6. Checkout

For a faster checkout, make sure all of your billing and credit card information is up to date before the presale begins.

Q: When should I expect my presale code?

A: You’ll receive your unique code from Ticketmaster between 12 and 24 hours before the presale.

The e-mail or SMS will include timing details, your unique code and a link to where you can purchase your tickets.

Q: The presale has started - I registered but never received my code?

A: While we would like to give every fan access to great tickets, Ticketmaster Verified Fan codes are limited.

Registering as a Ticketmaster Verified Fan does not guarantee you will receive a unique code.

Please visit the terms and conditions section of the Verified Fan registration page you signed up to for more information.

Q: I registered for the last Verified Fan Presale, shouldn’t I always get a code?

A: No. Each artist presale powered by Ticketmaster Verified Fan is unique, and you must register for each one separately.

Q: Why didn’t my Verified Fan Presale code work?

A: You may have reached your ticket limit. Due to demand, each Verified Fan Presale has a ticket limit to allow more fans like you to get tickets. You may also be selecting the wrong ticket type. Make sure you select 'Verified Fan Presale' or 'Fan Presale' on the ticket selection page.

Q: How come I received a Verified Fan Presale code but can’t get tickets?

A: We often receive massive interest for the tours we sell tickets to, including Verified Fan tickets. Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis and are NOT guaranteed.

Q: If I’m not selected, will I still have a chance to get tickets?

A: Yes. You will still have the opportunity to purchase tickets via other available presales or the general onsale.

Q: How do I know where to go to if I need help?

Harry Styles has announced that he will be doing an arena tour in April 2018. Tickets for the SSE Hydro will go on an Invitation presale at 9am on Wednesday 14th June, for information of the presale for the other venues please check hstyles.co.uk. The general sale is at 9am on Friday 16th June.

Venues and Dates:

Genting Arena, 7th April
Manchester Arena, 9th April
O2 Arena, 11th and 12th April
SSE Hydro, 14th April

What is an Invitation Presale?

Harry cares about his fans and understands there are going to be more people who want to see him on tour than there will be available tickets. He’s committed to getting tickets in the hands of fans. Not touts or bots. So he’s collaborating with Ticketmaster to sell the tickets for the SSE Hydro, through an invitation presale which uses unique technology that allows us to separate fans from touts and bots to distribute tickets more fairly.

We want to help as many of you as possible to see Harry Styles on the European leg of his tour. As the invitation presale approaches, here are some tips to help answer any questions.

Please note: Registering doesn’t automatically qualify you to receive a code. Successful registrants will be entered into a ballot to receive a code. Getting a unique offer code does not guarantee you tickets; they will be served on a first come first served basis.

How do I register for the Invitation Presale?

Go to https://harrystyleseurope.ontouraccess.com/ and enter your details to register. Registration closes on Sunday 11th June at 10pm.

You won’t receive an email until the evening of Tuesday 13th June to let you know if you were successful or not in the ballot for securing an invitation presale code.

I've moved, how do I change my address?

When you are booking we need to take the address that your card is registered to for our security checks. However we can change the address to a non-billing address 72 hours after the booking has been made.
If your address has been changed with the card issuer already and you've just entered the incorrect address, just let us know as soon as you realise the error and we'll correct it for you.

I need to plan my trip - when will the gig end?

Unfortunately we won't receive any details regarding the runtime until the sound check has been done, which is usually on the day of the gig.

I can’t go any more and need to sell on my ticket. What do I do?

We're unable to offer any refunds or exchanges unless there has been an alteration by the event organisers.  If you are no longer able to attend please go to our official resale partner – details available from edsheeran.com.

WHAT IS THE TICKETMASTER VERIFIED FAN PRESALE?

We’re committed to getting more tickets into the hands of fans. Through partnerships between artists and Ticketmaster, we’re here to help ensure that real fans get to see the artists they love – and that resellers and bots are kept away – giving you priority access to great tickets.

WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW?

We want to give every fan access to great tickets. Since there is a limited quantity of tickets, they will be available through a ballot-selection process and then on a first-come-first-served basis, and are not guaranteed.

Registration closes at 5pm on Wednesday 22nd November 2017. Any registrations received after this time will be null and void.

Registering does not guarantee you will receive a code or that if you receive a code you will be guaranteed to be able to purchase tickets. Successful registrants will be entered into a ballot to receive a code.

If you are selected during the ballot process, you’ll receive an SMS on Monday 27th November 2017 approximately 2-4 hours before presale tickets go on sale at 9am (so keep your phone handy). Your SMS will include your link to purchase and your unique code to access tickets.

When you register to enter the ballot to access this presale, your personal data will be used to determine whether you are eligible to access presale tickets. *

For more information about how Ticketmaster makes decisions on eligibility, please see our Presale Eligibility Terms

We will use the information you provide to contact you if you are successful. We may also share your information with the promoter and venue to help them operate and administer the event.

For more information about how we use your information please see our Privacy Policy

*Registration is only open to those aged 13 and over.

Event Information

  1. We reserve the right to cancel any ticket purchase made by any person whom we reasonably believe to be associated with any ticket broker or tout.

You must be attending the event. There are no exceptions to these requirements*.*
  3. You must provide your actual credit/debit card that you used for the purchase along with valid government issued photographic ID (passport or driving licence) in order to enter the event. The name on your photo ID must match the name on the credit/debit card used for the ticket purchase, otherwise you will be refused entry to the event.
  4. These tickets are non-transferable under any circumstances and any resale, transfer, or attempted resale or transfer, will invalidate the ticket purchase. No changes to the name(s) of the ticketholder(s) or letters of authorisation will be accepted.

Why am I being charged a handling fee for paperless tickets.

Even though we're not physically posting a set of tickets to you, there's still a lot going on in the background for us to provide the paperless service to you.

The order processing fee covers the cost of installing and maintaining the hardware and software at the venue so your Paperless ticket will be recognised, including wireless scanners for every member of door staff. It also allows us to develop and maintain our own technology to make sure you have a simple, straight forward experience getting into your event.

For more details on Paperless tickets please click here

Iron Maiden Information

With these tickets the cardholder must arrive together with the rest of the party and actually be attending the show. Unfortunately, if you can't arrive together we are unable to make any alternative arrangements for you. We can only advise that you make arrangements for you group to meet before entering as once the cardholder attends no one else will be allowed in if they arrive later. To get in on the night you’ll need to take:
  • Your confirmation email
  • Government-issued photo ID (such as a driving license or passport)
  • The original payment card used to book the tickets

What if your card has expired?

Even though your card has expired, you’ll still be able to use it to get in as it will still match the details on the paperless system – so if you can, please keep hold of it!

If you’ve already destroyed your old card, but the new one has the exact same 16 digits, you don’t need to do anything and you can just use the new card to get into the show.

We can't offer exchanges or refunds unless an event is cancelled, so we offer you the chance to insure your booking during the checkout process. At this point, you have to either select “Yes” to add insurance, or “No” if you don’t want to. If you don’t select either of the options, we default to “No”, as it's important to us that you're clear on anything being added to your order. We do confirm that insurance is being added to your order along with any extra charges.

If you have booked ticket insurance by accident and you don't need it, please contact Allianz to cancel the policy within 14 days of the booking. Unfortunately we are unable to cancel the policy for you as you are now the policy holder. You can contact Allianz on 0345 641 9726, by email on the form below, or by writing to the address below:

We can't offer an exchange or refund for your order unless the event is cancelled, but we do understand that things sometimes come up out of the blue that stop you from getting to your event. That's why we offer you the chance to add Missed Event Insurance to your order with Allianz Assistance. Here’s some useful information...

How do I buy Missed Event Insurance?
If it's available for your event, we'll offer you the chance to add insurance when booking your tickets online. Missed event insurance is only available when booking online.

How do I cancel my insurance policy?
If you have selected ticket insurance by accident and don't need it the you can contact Allianz to cancel it as long as its within 14 days of the booking. Unfortunately we are unable to cancel the policy for you as you are now the policy holder. You can contact Allianz on 0345 641 9726 or by email or the address below.

Who do I contact to make an enquiry about my insurance policy?
The insurance company, Allianz Assistance, are completely separate to Ticketmaster, so it's them you'll need to contact with any queries about your policy. There are a couple of different numbers, depending on what sort of query you have:

0345 641 9727 for anything to do with making a claim or making changes to your policy.
0345 641 9726 for any general enquiries, cancelling the policy or to make a complaint

When you're booking with us, whether it's online or over the phone, we'll always be sure to give you a clear breakdown of exactly what charges are involved. The total you pay to receive your tickets is usually made up of:
  • The face value of each ticket
  • The service charge for each ticket
  • An order processing fee for the whole booking
We know no one likes to pay extra costs, so we do everything we can to keep our fees as low as we can, while still being able to offer you the best possible service.

Face Value
This is the base cost of your ticket, set by the event organisers – we're not involved in deciding the price, but it's usually based on the costs involved in presenting the event.

Service Charge
This is the only part of the booking that we keep – the face value goes straight to the event organisers. These charges help us to cover the costs involved in running our website and booking line. There are all kinds of things going on in the background – not to mention paying our hardworking staff who keep the cogs turning! The service charge can vary depending on the event – we agree the amount charged with the venue or promoter, based on the costs involved in them putting the show on and us organising the tickets.

Order Processing Fee
This is usually one charge for the entire order and covers the cost of processing the booking from beginning to end. This means processing your payment and delivering your tickets, whether that's by post, box office collection or TicketFast.

Facility Fee
Occasionally, there may also be a facility fee. This is set by the venue's box office, and we send the fee directly to them – we don't keep any of this charge. The reason for the fee varies, but it's usually there to help the venue make improvements.

If you need accessible seats, most of the venues we sell for have the facilities to deal with any specific requirements you may have. Because we're not based at the venue, most theatres and arenas prefer to make bookings for accessible seats with you directly – they know their venue inside out, so they can make sure your seats are suitable and answer any questions you might have.

We can either pass your request on to the venue for them to get in touch with you, or we can give you contact details so you can call the venue yourself. To do this, search for the event you want to book for, click Search for Tickets and then you'll see the accessible seating button. You just need to fill out the form and our customer service team will be in touch.

A presale is where tickets are released to a select group of people before the general public. Presales are typically made available to members of the artist's fan club, people who've booked previously for a particular venue or customers of a particular company like O2 or American Express – it really depends on the event.

Anyone eligible to book during a presale will usually receive an email beforehand, containing a password or a secure internet link which allows access to the tickets. This will be sent directly from the fan club or venue – wherever you signed up for the presale – so we don't have any access to passwords or links. If your password doesn't work please contact whoever provided you with the link and password and they'll be able to issue a new link. We don't have any access to the passwords and can't issue new ones.

If you're looking to access the presale for a particular artist we'd recommend checking their official website and keeping your eye on the media for details about upcoming tour dates.

Please note that if you are unable to book in a presale that tickets are always limited availability and have access to the presale never guarantees tickets. Our best advise would be to try and book during the general sale. Please read our helpful tips on how to improve your chances of getting tickets for busy events by clicking here.

Like shopping baskets on other sites, My Basket is how you keep track of the stuff you want (tickets, parking, t-shits etc.) while you carry on browsing or leave the site to think about it.

Unlike shopping baskets on other sites, My Basket can't hold the actual tickets for you, which means they can still be bought by other fans. We'll remember your tickets selections and other items in your basket so you won't have to start from scratch when you come back.

How do I add items to My Basket?
Once you've selected tickets, just click the Remember for Later button at the bottom of the review or delivery page.

Why isn't the Remember for Later button there on every event?
If you don't see the Remember for Later button, it's probably because it's a really popular event that's just gone on sale. Tickets for those events go really fast, usually in the first few minutes, so there won't be anything left to remember for later! It's best to buy those tickets there and then to avoid missing out.

Can I edit stuff in My Basket?
You can't, but you're not stuck with them either – click the Find Different Tickets link on the left and you can search again. The original ticket selection will stay in your basket, so it's a great way to compare prices!
If you want to change the delivery method or remove, add or change the quantity of other items (parking, t-shirts etc) click Get Tickets and make your changes before paying.

Can I remove events from My Basket?
You can! Just hit Remove This Event to the left of the event name. If you have second thoughts, click Keep It.

Do I need an online account account to use My Basket
You don't – you can use My Basket without an account, but when you click Remember for Later, your selections and other stuff will only be saved on that computer.
If you want the freedom to view your basket on any computer, you need an online account.
If you already have a My Live Nation account, you can sign in what that email and password on any computer to view your Ticketmaster shopping basket.

Why am I being asked to re-enter my offer code or password for tickets already in my basket?
If we're asking you to unlock a password protected offer again, it's just because you’re not signed into your account, so we don't recognise you.

Why has my event disappeared?
If you can’t see an event in your basket any more, it's most likely that the show's already been and gone.
Or, if you don't have an online account, you may lose events in your basket when we periodically delete anonymous data from our system. We have to do that every so often to keep our website running smoothly.

Why did the price change after I added tickets to My Basket?
Ticket prices are set by the venue and event organisers, who may occasionally decide to change the pricing depending on demand or other factors. We don't control ticket pricing because we don't own the tickets we sell – we're just selling them on behalf of the venue and event organisers.

Why is the delivery method I added to My Basket no longer available?
If the delivery method (standard post or UPS) has disappeared from your basket, it's most likely because it's too close to the event and there isn't enough time for us to get the tickets to you in that way.

Why is the special offer I added no longer available?
Discounts are quite often limited-time offers, so it might be that time ran out while the tickets were in your basket.

Some events – usually festivals and big outdoor summer gigs – have small lockers where you can keep your valuables safe and charge your phone.

The service charge can sometimes vary, depending where you buy your tickets. It's always the same whether you book online or over the phone through us, but sometimes you can avoid paying a charge if you go to the venue box office in person and pay in cash. We always aim to make buying tickets as quick and easy as possible. Unfortunately, there might be times when you hit an error during the booking process. We understand this can be frustrating, so to try and avoid any problems in the future, take a look at our checklist here:

Are graphics and cookies enabled on your computer?
If your browser is set to block cookies, it's also blocking us from placing your seating info into your computer's temporary memory. If we can't hold the seating info in that way, we can't carry on with the booking. Check your browser preferences to make sure that you can accept cookies and that cookies aren't limited to retrieval by the originating sender. Remember – our cookie is only held in your system's RAM while the browser is open, so it's erased as soon as you close down the browser. Nothing is written to or read from your hard drive.

Are you accessing Ticketmaster through a direct internet connection, or are you using a proxy server?
Some online service providers use a proxy server. Proxy servers save copies of sites on their server rather than connecting users to the internet or the specific site requested. In most cases, this works fine, but using a proxy server might prevent you from booking tickets because you need to access our ticketing system directly. If you're not sure if you're accessing the internet through a proxy server, double check with your internet service provider.

Have you got JavaScript enabled on your computer?
Parts of our site, like our seating charts, can't be accessed without JavaSpript –if you're having trouble loading a page properly, this might be why. Check your browser preferences to make sure JavaScript is enabled.

Ticketmaster Offers is powered by Ticketmaster to bring you discounts on some of the top events that we sell for – we work closely with some of the industry's finest to get you these great deals!

So how does it work?
Check the Ticketmaster Offers section of our website regularly for any new discounts, or sign up to our weekly newsletter and get all the best discounts for your local area straight to your inbox. You can also follow us on Twitter and Facebook for the latest releases.

How long do the deals run for?
The amount of time a deal can run for varies. You can check how long you have to get your hands on the offer you're interested in on the Deal Info section of the deal page.

I'm paying less for my ticket – does that mean I'll get a seat with a terrible view?
Nope. The tickets on Ticketmaster Offers work pretty much the same as any normal ticket would. For some events you can see a seating plan and pick your own seats, just like you would with a full price ticket.

Can I get a weekly newsletter for more than one location?
Your localised newsletter gives you deals specific to your area, but you can always check out the Ticketmaster Offers website for deals in other regions. Or you can change your email preferences in Settings to include all regions.

How can I change my location?
You can change your location under My Settings in the top right of the page. If you can't see it, it’s because you didn't click the Remember My Location box when you signed up. To fix this, you'll need to unsubscribe from your emails then sign up again, remembering to make sure that the box is ticked.

How many discounted tickets can I buy at once?
You can book as many tickets at a time as you'd usually be allowed through Ticketmaster – it really depends on the event.

What about big groups?
Groups bookings are handled by our specialist Groups department – give them a call on 0844 844 2121. Calls to 0844s cost 7p per minute plus your phone company's access charge.

Can I buy a ticket deal as a gift?
Of course! Your tickets will be just the same as any normal ticket – just at a much better price. Or why not choose a Ticketmaster Gift Card? That way, your friends and family are sure to get a gift they love.

Can I get a refund?
If your event has been cancelled or rescheduled, we're more than happy to issue a refund. Unfortunately, as part of our purchase policy, we can't offer a refund, exchange or transfer of tickets under any other circumstances.

What happens once I've booked my ticket?
Ticketmaster Offers is powered by Ticketmaster, so once you've chosen your deal you can continue the transaction as you usually would. It's completely secure and really easy to use, just as you'd expect from one of the world's biggest ticket providers.

We know it can be frustrating when you've found the perfect seats, just to get partway through the booking process to somehow end up losing them. We want you to see your show from the best possible seats, so here are a few things to check if you're having problems:

Are you signed into your online account?
It's always best to make sure you're signed into your account before starting a booking. The checkout process has a time limit and we know that some of you don't book through us very often, so it's a real pain when you've chosen your seats just to be timed out when you can't remember your password.

Is your billing information up to date?
It's a good idea to make sure your address and credit card details are up-to-date before you start booking. You don't want to get all the way through just to fall at the final hurdle when you can't find your card to put the new details in!

Have you got our website open in more than one window?
Please only use one browser window at a time to hold tickets. We have systems in place to stop automated programs from booking up all the tickets – this means that if you try to hold 2 sets of tickets at once in separate windows, the seats will be released.

Ticketmaster Platinum are premium tickets made available by artists and event organisers through Ticketmaster. They give fans safe and fair access to some of the best tickets in the house at market driven prices.

Why are these tickets a higher price than tickets on the main website? Are these re-sale tickets?

No these aren’t resale tickets. Platinum tickets are being sold for the very first time through Ticketmaster. The prices are adjusted according to supply and demand, similar to how airline tickets and hotel rooms are sold. The goal is to give the most passionate fans fair and safe access to the best tickets, while allowing the artists and everyone involved in staging live events to price tickets closer to their true value.

Do I get anything else with my Platinum tickets?

Platinum Tickets aren’t part of a package, so the price you're paying is just for the tickets – there aren't any added extras or VIP/hospitality elements to the booking.

When are my tickets going to be dispatched?

We aim to post Platinum tickets 7-10 days before the event, unless we tell you differently when you book. If you haven’t received your tickets by 48 hours before the show, please click here to contact us so that we can help.

How are my tickets delivered?

It really depends on the event – we may use standard post, secure post or box office collection. If you live outside the UK, it’s likely that you’ll be offered box office collection, as we may not be able to get the tickets to you in time through the post. Don’t worry though, this will all be confirmed to you when you book.

Can I change my delivery address after booking?

You can! Please contact us as soon as possible once you’ve moved so that we can update the address for you – more info on that here.

Why can't I see my Platinum orders in my online account?

You won’t be able to see your Platinum tickets in your online account with us because Ticketmaster Platinum is booked using a different system, which doesn’t link to your online account at the moment. It’s nothing to worry about though! If you need to check your order details, please take a look at your confirmation email or give us a call on 0333 321 9986 if you have any questions. This line’s open 09:00-20:00 Monday to Friday and 10:00 -16:00 Saturday & Sunday. Or, if you’d prefer, you can send us an email – more details here

The billing address is the address you have registered with your card issuer – it's where they send your statements, if you still get them through the post.

We have some pretty strict security guidelines in place, so we can only send tickets to the billing address of your card. We run regular checks to make sure that the name and address on your booking matches your credit or debit card billing address – really, this is all in place to help protect you against fraud.

Tickets for some events are available to book before they're released to the general public. You usually need a password or a secure link which is sent out by the venue, artist, team, promoter or event sponsors. These passwords are usually sent to exclusive members of fan clubs or customers of a particular company like O2 or American Express – it varies depending on the event.

Presales are usually sold from a separate allocation of seats, which may not be the same as the tickets being released to the general public. This gives you the chance to book before the general release, which often means there are less people competing for the pool of tickets available. But this doesn't necessarily guarantee you to getting better seats. When an event's really popular, how close you are to the stage sometimes comes down to the luck of the draw and sometimes you might find that you get tickets closer to the stage during the general sale.

It's important to remember that we can't offer an exchange if you book during the presale and then find tickets that you'd prefer during the general sale, so please make sure you're happy with the seats before going ahead and booking them.

Please note that if you are unable to book in a presale that tickets are always limited availability and have access to the presale never guarantees tickets. Our best advise would be to try and book during the general sale. Please read our helpful booking tips by clicking here.

We get an allocation of tickets to sell on behalf of the venue and event organisers, and tickets can be snapped up really quickly for popular events. But sometimes, you might notice that more tickets become available after you've booked – this can be for a number of different reasons. So why are better tickets sometimes available...

...a few minutes after tickets go on sale?
When you're booking on our website, you select your tickets first. Then if you're happy with them, you can go on to fill in your billing details and complete the order. This whole process takes a few minutes, so while you're doing that, those tickets are actually held for you, which means that no one else can access them. If someone selects tickets but then decides they don't want them, or they don't complete the booking in time, the seats will be released to give someone else the chance to book them.

...a few days after tickets go on sale?
Sometimes, a customer may try to book tickets but their credit card is declined. The tickets are sometimes held for them, and we'll try to get hold of them to take payment. If we can't get hold of them after a few days, we'll release the tickets for someone else to buy.
Other times, with really popular events there is a ticket limit in place. If a customer books more than they're allowed, we're asked to cancel any extra tickets, and they'll be put back on sale.

...a few weeks before the event?
We might get another allocation of tickets to sell as the event approaches. This can be for a couple of reasons – the event organisers may have originally been holding tickets for their own use, which they no longer need so they're released to give someone else the opportunity to go instead. Or they may realise that more seats than expected will have a full view once the stage layout has been confirmed and tested.

It's important to remember that we can't offer any exchanges once you've made your booking, so please make sure you're happy with the location of your seats before you book!

Our Interactive Seat Maps are designed so that you can't leave a single unsold seat on its own. We know it can be frustrating when there aren't many tickets left, but most people prefer not to sit on their own at a show, so if a seat is left on its own it's very unlikely to sell.

We're sorry if there was one particular set of seats that you wanted, but we agree with the venues we sell for not to leave single seats on their own – if there are no other seats that you'd like for your show, we'd suggest checking the availability for other dates if it's on for more than one night.

When a really popular event goes on sale there can sometimes be thousands of people all trying to buy tickets at the same time. With fans booking over the phone and online, we can process hundreds of bookings at once – so sometimes they can go really quickly.

Think of it this way – if Robbie's playing a stadium with a 20,000 seat capacity and 500 fans all log on to buy 4 tickets each...that’s 2,000 tickets gone in seconds!

If you're unlucky with getting tickets when they first go on sale, we'd always advise to check back to our website nearer the day of the show – there's always the chance that more tickets could be released once the stage layout has been confirmed. Unfortunately, we are unable to contact customers if more tickets come available on sale.

We want to make sure that as many fans as possible get the chance to book. When you select your seats, you're actually holding those tickets while you go through the checkout process, so no one else can access them.

We have to limit the amount of time you can hold the tickets, otherwise we'd be left in a position where someone can grab the tickets, go and make a cup of tea, pop off down to the shop etc, then decide that, actually, they don't want them. This wouldn't be very fair to all the other fans who desperately want tickets and are ready to pay there and then but can't get their hands on any.

The amount of time you have can vary depending on how busy the website is, but we'll always make sure there's enough time to fill in your details and check the information carefully before paying for your tickets.

In short, we want to make sure that everyone gets a fair chance to buy tickets – the limit's there to keep the first person in the queue from buying up all the best seats and leaving nothing for the everyone behind them!

The ticket limit will usually be decided by the event organisers and we'll make sure we advertise this at the very beginning of the booking process on our website. It usually applies per person, per credit card – sometimes, if it's expected to be really popular it may also be per household. Please be sure to look out for this – you can't book more than the limit in any one transaction, but unfortunately we can't stop you from going in and making a second booking.

It's not that easy to get around the system, though – if we do find that someone's booked more tickets than they're allowed, we may well cancel some or all of their tickets, without notice.

If you’re trying to book tickets and you get the message “No exact matches were found”, this means that the tickets you were looking for aren’t available at the moment. If you’ve searched for tickets in a specific price level or area of the venue, it could just be that we don’t have any availability in those areas, so we’d recommend widening your search by choosing “Best Available”.

Sometimes, it may mean that there are no tickets available at all at the moment – with really popular events, tickets can sometimes sell in minutes. When the allocation of tickets we have has sold, you’ll get the message “No exact matches were found”. We don’t update the page to say it’s sold out because we may still get another allocation of tickets to sell.

If you’re trying to book in a presale, please try again during the general sale when more tickets are released.

If you’re trying to book on the day they go on general sale and it’s a big arena or stadium, keep checking back through the day in case more tickets are released. It’s also worth checking back nearer to the event date, as more tickets are sometimes released closer to the time.

We don’t have the facility to email you to let you know if more tickets are released, but if you use Twitter, it’s worth keeping an eye on @TicketmasterUK and #tmExtras, as we’ll often update our followers with details as soon as we get them.

Tickets for some events are available to book in a presale, before they’re released to the general public. You’ll usually need a password or a secure link which is sent out by the venue, artist, team, promoter or event sponsors.

Presales don’t guarantee you to tickets, but they do give you the chance to book tickets earlier, with fewer people trying to book at the same time. So if you are trying to find tickets and the result are "currently not available", that means the presale allocation has sold.

We’d never say that tickets are sold out in a presale because you’ll always have the chance to book in the general sale as well. Please read our tips on how to improve your chances of booking tickets for popular events by clicking here.

CAPTCHA stands for "Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart". We use it on our website to prevent anyone trying to book a large number of tickets with bots and bypass the ticket limit.

The CAPTCHA can detect certain types of behaviour on your session, so if you’re noticing that it’s a bit difficult to read, it might have detected something unusual. This can be things like having our website open in more than one browser window, making a large number of reservations for the same event or possibly even malware on your system.

For tips on how to give yourself the best chance of securing tickets when a popular event goes on sale, check out our page here.

We know it can be tense trying to bag your tickets during a presale – if you’re running into problems, here are a few things you can check:

For O2 Priority and SSE Rewards presales – are you logged onto the correct website?

O2 Priority and SSE Rewards presales are only open to their customers. To access the presale, please make sure that you’re logged into your O2 Priority or SSE Rewards account, then follow the link from their website.

Are you following the correct link?

Presales can very rarely be accessed via the main Ticketmaster.co.uk site – as they’re only open to a limited group of people, you’ll usually need to follow a specific link. If you’ve received an email letting you know about a presale, please make sure you’re following the link provided. If you’ve logged onto the main Ticketmaster.co.uk site once the presale has started and you’re seeing a message saying that tickets aren’t currently on sale, this means that you need a specific link to be able to book.

Are you seeing a message that says “Sorry, no exact matches were found”?

If you’ve got as far as searching for tickets and going through the CAPTCHA where you have to enter a security word and then you see a message saying Sorry, no exact matches were found, but other tickets may still be available - this means that the tickets you requested aren’t available at the moment.

If you searched for tickets in a specific area, try searching for “Best Available” instead, or change the number of tickets on your search. If you’ve tried all of this and you’re still getting the same message, it’s likely that we don’t have any more tickets available at the moment.

Don’t forget, when an event’s really popular tickets can sell very quickly. Having access to a presale doesn’t guarantee you tickets, it just gives you the opportunity to book before it’s opened up to the general public. If you’ve been unlucky, you can always try again in the general sale. Read our helpful booking tips by clicking here!

We’ll always try to send as many tickets as possible by standard post, as we know you’d prefer to keep costs as low as possible. We’ll only ever send your tickets by secure post if we’re not able to replace them if they were to go missing somewhere on their way to you.

We know it’s not likely that tickets will go missing in the post, but it can sometimes happen and we don’t want you to be stuck without a way of getting into your event. Where tickets can’t be replaced, we’ll always use secure post so that the delivery can be tracked.

Many customers like to book tickets for shows when they visit the UK and we process hundreds of orders for customers from outside the UK every week.

When booking tickets from an overseas address, when you get to the Select Delivery Method page, please double check that you’re choosing the tab for Other Countries. Your details won’t be accepted if you’re trying to enter an overseas address on the Great Britain dispatch page.

If you’re having problems with the payment being authorised, we’d recommend that you contact your card issuer – they may have flagged a payment to a UK website as unusual activity and declined the payment.

Sometimes really popular events can sell very, very quickly. When there are no more tickets available, we’ll always recommend that you keep checking back to the website in case more tickets are released later on.

Extra tickets are never guaranteed though and we often don’t get any advance warning that they’re going on sale – they can quite literally be released at any moment! Unfortunately, this means that we could never guarantee to contact you about extra releases, so a waiting list isn’t something that we operate as we don’t want you to be disappointed. We know you’re keen to book, so your best bet is to keep checking the website and, if you’re on Twitter, follow @TicketmasterUK for updates and keep an eye on the hash tag #tmExtras.

We know it can be frustrating to receive an error message when you're in the midst of purchasing tickets-particularly when you're vying for popular tickets to hot events and we are sorry for any inconvenience caused. Below we've explained possible causes for error messages and how to avoid them in future.

Cookies and Graphics
Your browser must be set to accept cookies and graphics in order for you to purchase tickets from Ticketmaster. Make sure your computer is set to accept cookies and graphics before you try to make a purchase.

Make sure nothing is blocking your browser from accepting cookies, which will also block Ticketmaster from placing your seating information in your computer's temporary memory which is necessary to purchase tickets (See Cookies and Graphics section).

Proxy Servers
Problem: Some online service providers, such as AOL or Prodigy, use a device called a proxy server. Proxy servers save copies of sites on their server rather than connecting users to the Internet or the specific site requested. In most cases this works fine.

Solution: Using a proxy server might prevent you from purchasing tickets because you need to access our ticketing system directly. If you do not know if you are accessing the Internet through using a proxy server, contact your Internet service provider.

Access Ticketmaster through a direct Internet connection and not through any service using proxy servers.

Transaction No Longer Active
Problem: This error is caused by an interruption to the transaction process. During the ticket buying process, our computer or your computer lost access to our ticketing systems. Receiving this error means that your request did not make it to the ticketing system.

Solution: Please resubmit your ticket request and try again.

Too Much Time Has Elapsed Before We Received Your Information
Problem: This error is caused when the ticketing system releases your seats because the transaction took too long. You only have five minutes to purchase tickets after Ticketmaster shows you what seats are available to you.

Solution: A slow Internet connection may cause this error. You might try disconnecting and then reconnecting to your Internet provider to improve the speed.

Please resubmit your ticket request and complete your order within five minutes.

Sorry, we are unable to fulfill your specific request.
Problem: This error appears when, at the moment you submit a request for tickets, the ticketing computer can't find the number of tickets you requested in any one place. If you checked for a single seat and got this message, Ticketmaster has probably sold out of its allocation for the event. However, you should check back on the site from time to time, as new seats may become available.

Solution: If you selected more than one seat, try decreasing the amount. You may also want to try a different seating area or select "best available" to see if there are seats available in another section.

Ticketmaster Auctions aren't quite like other online auction sites. Our auctions allow our venues, promoters and artists to sell tickets directly to fans, at a fair market price. When you bid on tickets, you'll be deciding for yourself how much you'd like to pay to attend the event.

Take a look at our Frequently Asked Questions below for everything you could need to know about Ticketmaster Auctions.

How are seats assigned?

The main difference with Ticketmaster Auctions is that there can be more than one winner for the same auction. However, you're not bidding for specific seats – just for tickets to see the show. The seats will be allocated to you later, based on how high your bid was.

All seats up for auction are ranked by the event organisers according to how desirable they think they'll be. At the end of the auction, tickets are assigned to the winning bidders based on those rankings. So just as an example, the person with the highest bid would be most likely get seats towards the front, and those who bid less would be further back.

How are auction bids ranked?

Bids are ranked by the amount per ticket. If two people bid the same amount, the tie breaker will be based on when the bids were placed – the earlier bids will rank higher.

Do you offer Proxy Bidding?

We don't – if two customers bid the same amount, we'll do a tie breaker based on who bid first, so it would be a bit unfair to allow proxy bidding. This means you'll have to watch closely to make sure you're still winning, and rebid if necessary.

How much will I pay?

The bid amount you enter will be the amount you pay per ticket if you win. Your card will be charged when the auction closes. The price breaks down to:
  • Your bid amount per ticket
  • Delivery price
  • Order processing fee
The one exception to this is for Uniform Payment Auctions, where the price per ticket is equal to the lowest winning bid in your ticket group. A Uniform Payment Auction will always be clearly labelled on the auction page.

Can I change my address or card details once I've submitted a bid?

Unfortunately you can't – once the bid’s been submitted we can't edit any of the billing or shipping information.

I've changed my mind – can I cancel my bid?

Once you've submitted a bid it can't be cancelled, so if you win your card will be charged. Please be sure to check the details carefully and be sure that you're happy to pay the amount before bidding.

When will my card be charged?

Your card will only be charged if you have a winning bid when the auction closes.

How can I keep track of my bids?

We'll always try to send you an email if your bid isn't winning, but there can sometimes be delays – to play it safe, it's best to keep an eye on your bids through your online account. Just log in and choose Current Auction Bids from the menu on the right.

Can anyone take part in an auction?

To be eligible you need an online account and a credit or debit card that has a billing address for the same country that the event will be held in. The card must also pass the bidding authorisation process...

This is where we check that the name, address, post code and CIN number you provide match those registered with your card. If they don't match, you won't be allowed to place a bid. Please also keep in mind that your card's expiry date must be at least one week after the auction closes.

How many times can I bid?

As many as you like! If you rebid from the same account, it will be considered your new bid and your previous bids will no longer be valid. If you have more than one bid pending in the same auction because you've used different accounts and credit cards, then you may win more than one set of tickets. Check the Auction Terms for more details.

How do I rebid?

Easy! Just go back to the auction homepage, select the number of tickets and the amount you'd like to bid, and then hit the Place Bid button.

How do I get accessible seats through an auction?

Each individual venue has their own procedure in place for booking accessible seats. Go to the auction bid page and click on the accessible seating button for more information.

Why am I seeing £1.00 charges on my card after bidding on an auction?

To take part in an auction, your card has to pass pre-authorisation. During the pre-authorisation process, we use a £1.00 charge to check your bank and validate the billing address, your identification and that your card is active. If this validation passes, your bid is accepted. Every time you attempt to get your card through pre-authorisation, a £1.00 charge will appear on your account – this is just temporary though, so we don't actually collect the charge. Any £1.00 pre-authorisation charges will be removed from your transaction activity within 5-10 days.

When will I receive my tickets?

They'll be sent out to you using whichever delivery method you chose, once your credit card has been authorised for payment by your bank. You'll receive an email confirming that the payment has been taken, along with your seat details and delivery information.

Why am I being blocked from taking part?

This could be for a couple of reasons:
  • Your card didn't pass pre-authorisation and you haven't resolved the discrepancy with your bank yet
  • We've previously had to cancel a bid because of a violation of the auction terms

How many tickets can I bid on?

The maximum number of tickets allowed will be confirmed on the auction bid page. You can't have more than one valid bid at a time on the same credit card number or Ticketmaster account. Any ticket limits applied to the presale or general sale don't apply to tickets booked through an auction. Take a look at the Ticketmaster Auction Terms for more details.

My seats are in the Royal Circle – where is this?

The Royal Circle is the first tier of seating above the Stalls – this was originally called the Dress Circle. If you’d like to take a look at a seat map, you can do this on our website here.

The producers of HAMILTON are determined to combat unauthorised resale and to protect patrons from having to pay highly-inflated prices. Therefore, Delfont Mackintosh Theatres will be operating a new paperless ticketing system, HAMILTON Paperless Ticketing, powered by Ticketmaster, which will prevent computer programmes (‘bots’) from harvesting vast amounts of tickets to make available for resale at inflated prices.

No traditional tickets will be issued in advance. The payment card you use to originally purchase your tickets will gain you admission to the theatre on the night.

When you book, you’ll receive a simple email confirmation as proof of purchase. This is not a ticket. Upon arrival at the theatre, you’ll be required to present your original email confirmation, your original payment card and a Government-issued photo ID such as a driving license or passport as proof of ID. The cardholder must be present and attend the performance.

The theatre will then swipe your card to produce seat location slips which gain you and your party admittance into the auditorium. All members of the party should enter the theatre at the same time.

When will I receive my tickets?

As HAMILTON is operating paperless ticketing, no tickets will be posted or emailed in advance.

What do I need to bring with me to the theatre on the night?

Three things:

·         your original purchase confirmation,

·         the payment card used to make the original purchase

·         an officially-issued photo ID such as a driving license or passport.

I can’t find my original confirmation email. What should I do?

You can generate a receipt for your booking at any time from your Ticketmaster account – find out more about that click here.

What if my credit card expires before the performance?

Even if your card’s expired, it can still be swiped on your way into the theatre as normal, so please keep hold of the original card if you can.

If you no longer have the original, please call us on 0333 003 5938 to update to your new card details. This phone line will be open between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday.

If you are calling from overseas please call +44 333 003 5938.

What if my card is lost or stolen before the performance?

Please call us on 0333 003 5938 to update to your new card details. This phone line will be open between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday.

If you are calling from overseas please call +44 333 003 5938.

Can I give tickets as a gift or issue a Letter of Authorisation for someone else to attend?

Unfortunately not. Hamilton is operating a Ticketless admission system designed to limit the transferability of tickets in order to prevent touting and the unauthorised reselling of tickets at inflated prices. If we allowed people to transfer tickets, it would create a flaw in the reason why the system was adopted.

If you have tickets but your circumstances change, contact us up to 48hrs before a performance and we will cancel and refund your booking subject to a cancellation fee of £3.00 per ticket.

Can I cancel or resell tickets which I can no longer use?

The reselling of any HAMILTON ticket is strictly forbidden. Any ticket offered for resale will be immediately cancelled.

However, if you can no longer attend a performance for a legitimate reason, please contact us up to 48hrs before a performance and we will cancel and refund your booking subject to a cancellation fee of £3.00 per ticket.

Less than 48hrs before a performance, we can only refund tickets at the producers’ discretion.

Can I exchange my tickets for a different performance?

As above, contact us and, up to 48hrs before a performance, we will cancel and refund your original booking subject to a cancellation fee of £3.00 per ticket.  We will then book you into an alternative performance, if seats are available.

Less than 48hrs before a performance, we can only refund tickets at the producers’ discretion.

Age Restrictions

Since HAMILTON contains some strong language, the show is appropriate for ages 10+. Children under 4 are not permitted into the theatre. Children under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

How long is the show?

HAMILTON runs 2 hours 45 minutes including one 15-minute interval.

Can I make a Group Booking?

Due to the anticipated high demand for HAMILTON tickets, we are unable to accommodate any group bookings during the first booking period.

Search Tips

You can search using a single word or phrase, just like you would with a search engine. So for example, if you’re event’s been cancelled, just type in the name of your event and we’ll bring up all the information we have.

Or you can actually ask us a question and our system will give you a list of answers. For the best results, make your questions clear – for example, “when will you send my tickets?” or “what type of cards do you accept?”

If the results don’t quite answer your question, click the Contact Us tab which will appear once you’ve clicked on an answer. From there, you’ll be able to send a message to our Customer Service team.
